Jamshedpur, Feb 1: Loyola School, Jamshedpur, on Friday hosted the annual Graduation Nite for the outgoing batch of Std. XII students, marking the culmination of their academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter.
The evening was filled with moments of reflection, gratitude and inspiration as the management, teachers, students and their parents gathered to celebrate this milestone.
The event commenced with the “Academic Procession’, a moment of pride, as the graduating students and faculty walked with dignity and honour. This was followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp, accompanied by a soulful prayer song, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment.
The Rector of the School, Fr. K.M. Joseph delivered a warm welcome address, setting the tone for the evening by acknowledging the hard work and perseverance of the students. The school president then took the stage, sharing an inspiring speech that highlighted the achievements and unity of the graduating class.

A special video presentation captured the journey of the students, bringing back cherished memories of their school years.
The most awaited moment arrived with the distribution of certificates and special awards, recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and extracurricular achievements.
Adding a personal touch to the celebration, a parent representative shared heartfelt words, expressing gratitude to the school for shaping the students’ future. Prayers by representatives of teachers and students invoked the blessings of the Almighty for the graduates as they step into a new phase of life.
The message from the Principal, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, resonated with encouragement and wisdom, emphasizing on Ignatian values of ‘Magis’ and being men and women for others.

The highlight of the evening was the passing of the light ceremony, where educators symbolically handed over the flame of knowledge to the students in a candle-lighting ritual, signifying their transition into the world awaiting them.
The ceremony concluded with the School Anthem, uniting everyone in a moment of pride and nostalgia.
Some of the special awards included the AIWC Award for Social Service, The Achievement Award, The Vineet Soni Memorial Congeniality Award, The Allencherry Award, The T.A. Gabba Award and The Loyola Award.
