Jamshedpur, June 27: Loyola School, Junior Section, held its 66th Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony at the Fasy Auditorium, honouring the academic excellence and holistic development of its young students. The event drew a gathering of parents, alumni, school management, and faculty members.

The ceremony commenced with a grand academic procession led by flag bearer Satyaki Chatterjee, followed by the dignitaries and award recipients. The auditorium came alive with vibrant performances by the Junior Section students, adding colour and festivity to the occasion.

Former SSP of Jamshedpur Kishore Kaushal graced the ceremony as the guest of honour. A highlight of the event was the release of the first edition of the Junior Loyolean, a magazine documenting the activities of the Junior Section throughout the academic year through articles and photographs contributed by students and teachers.

The ceremony also acknowledged the dedicated service of Parvinder Dhanjal, who was felicitated for completing 25 years as an educator.

This year, 280 students were awarded for their achievements, not only in academics but also in upholding the Jesuit mission of being “men and women for others.” For the first time, prizes were given to students from the Foundational Stage in categories such as Smiling Star, Buddy With a Big Heart, Tiny Turbo, Little Inigo, Magic Fingers, and Smart Speaker, encouraging the youngest Loyoleans to pursue excellence with joy.

The Nibhanani Bhattacharya Award for the best girl student of Std 5 was presented to Amaira Sawa. Faizan Ashraf received the prestigious Junior Loyola Award/Chitrajeet Ghosh Memorial Trophy, while the Runners Up Award/S P Dubey Memorial Trophy went to Aaradhya Das and Aadi Rushabh Sheth.
