Jamshedpur, March 10: Students of Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC), Jamshedpur, displayed remarkable talent and sportsmanship at VIRAJ 2025, the prestigious Inter-University Annual Sports Fest organized by National Law University, Odisha.
Held in Cuttack from March 6 to 9, the event witnessed intense competition among various institutions, with MTMC emerging as the Overall Runner-Up.
MTMC students competed in multiple disciplines, including Table Tennis (Men & Women), Aquatics (Men & Women), Volleyball (Men), and Athletics (Men & Women), securing an impressive medal tally.
The contingent won a total of 3 Gold, 7 Silver, and 13 Bronze medals, with outstanding performances across all categories.

In Aquatics, Dhruv and Aditi led the team with notable performances in Breaststroke, Backstroke, Freestyle, and Butterfly events, securing 6 Silver and 9 Bronze medals.
In Women’s Table Tennis, the team of Ananya, Neeti Raja, and Upasana clinched the Gold medal.
Athletics saw stellar performances from Upasana, who secured two Gold medals in Shotput and Discus, while Pratyush Das bagged a Silver in Shotput.
Bronze medals were won by Shashank Tiriya in the 200m, Keshav Gupta in the 800m, Neeraj Mishra in the 3000m, and the 4x100m relay team consisting of Pratyush Das, Shashank Tiriya, Keshav Gupta, and Neeraj Mishra.

The exceptional performance of MTMC students was guided by Team Coach Dr. Neelam Goyal and Team Manager Monit Sundriyal. Their collective efforts secured MTMC’s position as the Overall Runner-Up at VIRAJ 2025.
