Daltonganj, June 27: A senior teacher of English, Dr Bimal Kumar Singh, has been notified as Finance Officer of the Nilamber Pitamber University (NPU).
Dr Singh will be replacing Qurrat Ullah, a senior teacher in Economics, having an upright image, who had given in writing to demit the post of the finance officer in charge of this university, days ahead of the end of his tenure, said the registrar incharge on extension, Dr S K Mishra.
Dr Bimal has to his credit a good many years of managing a neo degree college at Manika in Latehar district with no controversy whatsoever around him, and his administrative sailing and skills in this degree college were beyond any doubt or scrutiny.

JS College Leadership Change Triggers Questions
Similarly, professor in charge of the J S College, A K Vaidya, has been dropped and transferred to the Garhwa-based constituent college of the name Namdhari and in his place, Ajay Paswan has been notified as the new professor in charge of the JS College in Daltonganj.
Vaidya is to retire this year end and his transfer is one which raises many eyebrows.
University sources said Vaidya has to pay this price of his chair in the JS College in Daltonganj for his reluctance to lodge the FIR against the alleged encroachers of the college land.
Again, it’s also a fact that Vaidya had given a written request for his ‘karya mukt’ from the professor in charge of the JS College in Daltonganj when the issue of the alleged encroachment of land had surfaced.

VC Justifies Reshuffle as Functional Need
Vice Chancellor of the Nilamber Pitamber University Dr Prof Dinesh Kumar Singh said, “These shufflings were in the interest of the functioning of the university.”
“Shuffling is a part of service, which is a very routine affair. The aim is to accelerate the functioning of the university. It is retrogressive right now. It is to be progressive where cooperation of our esteemed teachers, non-teaching staff and students is solicited most,” reiterated the VC.
