Ranchi, April 22: State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo today described the Nyay Ulgulan rally as a means to strengthen the family system of Sorens.
While addressing a press conference at the BJP state headquarters Pratul said that during the entire rally, an attempt was made to project Kalpana Soren as the next leader by placing her in the center. Kalpana Soren remained seated in the center while Chief Minister Champai Soren did not find a suitable place on the stage according to his position.
He said that when the Chief Minister was given the opportunity to speak, there were no slogans in his support and by that time the crowd had also left the venue. Several senior leaders left the stage when Chief Minister Champai Soren’s speech was about to begin. This is akin to insulting a tribal Chief Minister.
Pratul raises issue of 1975 Emergency and 42nd Amendment
Pratul said that the leaders of the INDI Alliance who talk about saving the constitution should tell why the Emergency was imposed in 1975 and why attempts were made to tamper with the basic structure of the Constitution through the 42nd Amendment in 1976.
Through the 42nd Amendment, powers of the judiciary, Supreme Court, and states were also taken away and given to the PMO. Later, the Supreme Court had dismissed its controversial provisions.

Clash between RJD and Congress workers
Pratul said that during the rally of those who claim to save democracy, there was a bloody clash among hundreds of supporters of the ally parties. Dozens were injured and many had to be admitted to the hospital.
Pratul said that now, disappointed and frustrated, JMM and Congress are accusing BJP of causing a ruckus, while it is clear from the video footage that leaders and workers of Congress and RJD were beating each other.
Basant Soren not happy, JMM forgot Binod Bihari Mahato, Nirmal Mahato and Durga Soren
Pratul said that a day before the rally in Prabhat Tara Maidan, Basant Soren was seen inspecting the venue. But, he was absent on the day of the rally. Reports in the media suggested that the purpose of this rally was only to project Kalpana Soren. No other member of the Soren family was allowed to speak. Probably for this reason, he did not come and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha appeared to be lying on this issue.
Late last evening, JMM spokesman said Basant was serving food to the workers, who had come from Dumka at his home. Then this afternoon, another spokesman said he was dehydrated. Pratul also showed videos of both spokespersons in this regard.
Pratul said that slogans of Shibu Soren, Hemant Soren, Kalpana Soren Zindabad were raised at the rally. But the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has completely forgotten the founder members Vinod Bihari Mahato, Nirmal Mahato, and Durga Soren in the party.
Pratul said that whatever happened in the rally, be it the incident of assault or the insult of Chief Minister Champai Soren, it shows the truth of the family-oriented INDI Alliance.
