Dhanbad, Nov 16: On the direction of the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHLSA), the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Dhanbad, organised a Jail Adalat at the Dhanbad Divisional Jail on Sunday, in which one undertrial prisoner was released.
Four Inmates Produced; One Released
According to Additional Judge-cum-DLSA Secretary Mayank Tushar Topno, four inmates identified for hearing were produced before the Presiding Judicial Magistrate in the presence of Railway Judicial Magistrate Manoj Kumar and Mandal Kara Superintendent Dinesh Verma.
After the proceedings, one inmate was released.
Judicial officers and members of the Legal Aid Defence Counsel (LADC) team also informed inmates about several legal provisions available to them.

Health Camp Held for Prisoners
On the directive of Principal District and Sessions Judge Virendra Kumar Tiwari, a health camp was conducted inside the jail.
A total of 187 male and female inmates were examined, and medicines were provided to them on the spot.
The medical team included Dr. Rajiv Kumar Singh, Dr. S. K. Jha, Amitabh Trigunait, Soma Dutt Rai, M. P. Rajwada, along with health workers Sunil Kumar, Nutan Kumari, Uttam Kumar Yadav, and Gopal Prajapati.
Legal Aid Team Assisted the Proceedings
The Jail Adalat was supported by Legal Aid Defence Counsel members, including Deputy Chief Ajay Kumar Bhatt, assistant counsels Suman Pathak, Muskan Chopra, Neeraj Goyal, Swati Kumari, Kanhaiyalal Thakur, and assistants Saurav Sarkar and Arun Kumar.
PLV volunteers Vishal Singh and Ujjwal Kumar also assisted in the proceedings.
