Daltonganj, Jan 20: A senior lawyer of the civil courts of Palamu at Daltonganj Akshay Kumar Singh is a beleaguered man following two daring episodes of criminal trespassing of his land and subsequent destruction and theft of the cemented poles and barbed wires meant to demarcate the land.
Repeated Crimes and Lack of Police Progress
The senior lawyer Akshay said, “The episodes of the criminal trespassing and destruction and theft of the property here in the case cemented poles and barbed wires spanned in a gap of little over six months.”
“Around 160 cemented poles were cut from above the ground way back in June 2024 by the unidentified people. It was a huge destruction of the property. The cemented poles were demarcation of the land under my due and lawful possession since 1998,” added the senior lawyer victim Akshay.

Another identical and similar episode of crime was committed which he could know about on January 14, 2025, when unidentified people this time uprooted the buried residue of the earlier cut cemented poles and further took away the barbed wires so dislodged earlier, said Akshay.
The June 2024 crime was reported to the town police station by the lawyer and the police had registered the case too. However, lawyer Akshay contented that the police investigation of the June month crime didn’t yield any result at all. The case remained uncracked.

Again in January 2025 there was committed crime with more ferocity when cemented poles’ leftover pits were dug up and barbed wires were looted.
Akshay said he lodged his second FIR with the town police station on January 14. Police are clueless about this case.
Police Investigation and Alleged Negligence
Akshay charged that the town police didn’t take interest in the case as had the police taken interest and cracked the June 2024 incident of crime, this January 2025 incident wouldn’t have happened at all.
On the other hand officer in charge of the town police station Deobrat Poddar said, “The police is still on this case. Investigation is on.”
The police officer suspected these two incidents were of such a person or group of persons who have cast eyes on the five acres of land and for that, in a planned way the demarcation of the five acres of the land has been destroyed and mutilated.
Evidence Overlooked and Allegations of Land Grab
The senior lawyer had a point that there were found empty bottles of wine on his land from where cemented poles and barbed wires were destroyed and stolen and police could have tried to track the unidentified people with the help of the QR code of the empty bottles of wine.
Police officer Poddar said the police did try to track the unidentified people through the QR code but it led to nowhere.
Sources said some high and mighty people are behind this five acres of land to grab it by force or by foul means and the first thing that they did was to demolish the signs of the demarcation of the land.
The lawyer’s land is now open and exposed. Sources said there may be another attempt to set up a temporary structure there on the land to advance the right to dispute.
Akshay said the land is well under his possession and hence no person has any right to make any claim to it.
