Hazaribagh, April 15: A petrol pump manager was shot dead in broad daylight on Tuesday in Ichak Sijhua village of Hazaribag district. The victim has been identified as Shankar Kumar, the manager of Sulphurni Petrol Pump.

According to preliminary information, Kumar was carrying cash collected over the past four days to deposit in the bank when he was intercepted by criminals.

The assailants attempted to loot the money, and upon facing resistance, they opened fire. Kumar sustained a bullet injury and died on the spot.

Following the incident, the attackers fled the scene.
Upon receiving the information, local police reached the site and began an investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and arrest the culprits.
