Dhanbad, Jan 28: Employees from the Dhanbad Rail Division headquarters organized a heartwarming farewell for Loco Pilot Arun Kumar Das, who retired from his services.
The farewell event took place at Dhanbad railway station. As Train No. 17006 Raxaul-Hyderabad Weekly Express arrived at the station and Arun Kumar Das stepped down from the engine room, hundreds of railway employees gathered to greet him, showering him with garlands.
This marked Arun Kumar Das’s final duty trip as a loco pilot.

A grand celebration unfolded with railway employees and union leaders, accompanied by a band party, escorting him to Platform No. 1, where a stage had been set for his farewell. Crew lobby in-charge A.K. Singh welcomed him with a flower bouquet.
A union leader remarked that this was the first time a loco pilot had been given such a farewell at Dhanbad station on his retirement.
On this occasion, union leaders RK Singh, NK Khawas, DN Paswan, and Subodh Singh praised Arun Kumar Das’s dedication and commitment to carrying out his responsibilities as a loco pilot.
Other notable speakers included K. Choudhary, Viswajit Mukherjee, A.K. Daa, Parmeswar Kumar, Premdeep Kumar, Vivek Kumar, and S.P. Gupta, who all addressed the farewell ceremony.
