Jamshedpur, April 11: Due to ongoing railway infrastructure development and track expansion projects, South Eastern Railway’s Chakradharpur Division has announced the cancellation of 26 trains during April and May, causing significant inconvenience to passengers across several states.

As part of the third and fourth line integration project between Bilaspur and Jharsuguda, a traffic block has been scheduled from April 10 to April 24. Consequently, 13 pairs of trains operating via Tatanagar have been cancelled.

- Tatanagar–Bilaspur Express
- Tatanagar–Itwari Express
- Santragachi–Jabalpur Express
- Santragachi–Pune Express
- Bilaspur–Patna Express
- Howrah–Mumbai Express
- LTT–Shalimar Express
- Howrah–Sainagar Shirdi Express
- Pune–Howrah Azad Hind Express (April 11–24)
- Mumbai–Howrah Gitanjali Express (April 11 & 24)
- Howrah–Pune Duronto Express (April 10–21)
- Porbandar–Shalimar Express (April 9–19)
- Mumbai–Shalimar Gyaneshwari Express (April 11–24)
These cancellations will impact thousands of passengers in states including Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, and Maharashtra.

Additional Cancellations Due to Work on Other Routes
Services between Tatanagar and Hatia/Barkakana were also suspended on Thursday due to a line block between Manikui and Kunki stations.

Impact from Non-Interlocking Work in Nagpur Division
Non-interlocking work at Gondia station under South East Central Railway’s Nagpur Division has led to more train cancellations in April and May, affecting routes via the Ranchi Division.

The railway administration has urged passengers to check the status of their trains before commencing their journey to avoid inconvenience.
