Jamshedpur, Dec 30: A weeklong railway rolling block in South Eastern Railway’s Adra railway division commencing today would hit passenger train services.

South Eastern Railway zone notified cancellation, short-termination and diversion of trains due to the weeklong rolling block from December 30 to January 5.

Garden Reach, the Kolkata-based headquarters of South Eastern Railway issued a circular regarding weeklong restrictions on passenger train services.

The rolling block will include work on electrical, signal and telecommunication, and non-interlocked systems.

The rolling block is aimed at improving safety, minimizing disruptions, and ensuring resource efficiency, said a railway official.

Cancellation of Trains 

(1) 08644/08643 Asansol- Adra MEMU will remain cancelled on December 30, January 4 and January 5.

(2) 08680/08679 Adra- Midnapore MEMU will remain cancelled on December 30, January 3 and January 5.

(3) 08671/08672 Adra- Bhaga MEMU Special will remain cancelled on January 5.

Short-termination/Short-origination of Trains

(1) 08174/08652 Tatanagar- Asansol MEMU Special will be short-terminated/short-originated at Adra on December 30 and January 4.

Services of the train between Adra and Asansol will remain cancelled on both days.

(2) 03594/03593 Asansol- Purulia MEMU Special will be short-terminated/short originated at Adra on December 31, January 2 and January 5.

Services of the train between Adra and Purulia will remain cancelled.

(3) 18035/18036 Kharagpur-Hatia Express will be short-terminated/short-originated at Adra railway station on December 31, January 2 and January 5.

Services between Adra and Hatia will remain cancelled on all three days.

Diversion

(1) 18601 Tatanagar-Hatia Express will run on a diverted route on December 30 and January 3 via Chandil and Muri instead of Chandil, Purulia, Kotshila and Muri.
