Jamshedpur, April 19: City’s leading ICSE school Rajendra Vidyalaya today organized a farewell ceremony to honour two of its longest-serving staff members—Geography teacher Ila Patra and Biology Lab Assistant Sunil Kumar.
Ila Patra, who spent 29 years shaping young minds with her expertise and dedication, and Sunil Kumar, who rendered an extraordinary 34 years of service in the biology lab, were celebrated for their contributions to the institution.
The farewell event was held in the school premises and was attended by a host of dignitaries including B.N. Choudhary, President of the Bihar Association; Secretary Amrendra Sinha; Treasurer Vivekanand; Principal Anita Tiwari; Vice Principal Pyali Mukherjee; Junior Section In-Charge D. Vani; and the entire teaching and non-teaching staff.

In his address, B.N. Choudhary applauded the commitment of the retirees, wishing them good health and a fulfilling journey ahead. Secretary Amrendra Sinha motivated the gathering to take inspiration from their exemplary dedication.
Hindi teacher Savita Shukla brought the audience to tears as she shared heartwarming anecdotes and cherished moments spent with Ila Patra and Sunil Kumar, underlining the deep bonds they formed over the years.
Both Ila Patra and Sunil Kumar expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the school, reminiscing about their long and fulfilling journey, and the memories that will forever remain etched in their hearts.

The ceremony commenced with a welcome by teacher Barnali and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Principal Anita Tiwari, marking the end of the day.
The school community came together to not just bid farewell, but to celebrate the legacy of two individuals who gave their best to the institution.
