Dhanbad, January 12: Ranchi will host a three-day Jharkhand State Master Badminton Championship 2024 at Khelgaon Indoor Badminton Hall from February 9 to 11.
Releasing the programme, K Prabhakar Rao, secretary of the Jharkhand Badminton Association (JBA), said that it would be a championship cum selection trial. Based on players’ performance in this championship, the Jharkhand team for the national would be selected.

In the Master Championship, singles and doubles events will be held for men’s and women’s +35 years, + 40 years, +45 years,+ 50 years,+55 years, +60 years. + 65 years, + 70 years and +75 years.
K Prabhakar Rao, joint secretary of the Badminton Association of India (BAI), said the championship is being organized under the Ranchi District Badminton Association. The last date of entry in the tournament is February 3.
A participant can play only in three events. “An event shall be conducted if at least six entries are received,” he said. Players could only participate with the Badminton Association of India ID.
