Ranchi, April 24: Doctors and students of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, held a peaceful candle march on Wednesday evening to protest the brutal killing of innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

The march, led by Dr. Vikash Kumar, state president of the Junior Doctors Network (JDN), began from the Academic Building and covered the entire campus before returning to the starting point. A large number of students and doctors participated to express their grief and solidarity with the families of the victims.

Speaking to media after the march, Dr. Vikash Kumar, a neurosurgeon and also the Joint Secretary of the Jharkhand Chapter of the Indian Medical Association, said, “The entire RIMS community is shocked by the killing of innocent Hindu tourists in Pahalgam. This candle march is our way of paying tribute and standing with the bereaved families.”

Dr. Rupesh, Dr. Adarsh, Dr. Anupam, Dr. Dulal, Dr. Kumkum, and Dr. Atul played key roles in organizing the march at short notice. The march reflected the collective sorrow and condemnation of the medical fraternity over the tragic incident.
