Jamshedpur, Dec 14: A seminar on Goods and Services Tax (GST) was organised by the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) at the Chamber Bhawan here today.
The seminar was inaugurated by SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka who delivered the welcome address.
He welcomed the keynote speaker of the seminar CA Vikas Banka who came from Kolkata.
Key points of the seminar:
1. First topic: CA Vikas Banka had a detailed discussion on the topic of ‘TDS on Metal Scrap’. He explained its importance, necessity and its impact on fake invoicing through a PowerPoint presentation.
2. Second subject: The Amnesty Scheme under Section 128A and 16(5) of CGST Act and its benefits were discussed.
3. Third topic: Overview of GSTR 9 and 9C, their complexities and solutions were discussed.
After this, a question-answer round was conducted, which greatly benefited all the participants present.

Special session of Tally Prime:
In their session, a team from Tally Prime highlighted their latest features and benefits that help in solving problems related to GST data uploading, reconciliation etc.
At the end of the seminar, CA Kaushalendra Das, President of Jamshedpur Chartered Accountant Society and Jitendra Kumar, Vice President of Commercial Tax Bar Association honoured Vikas Banka by presenting him a memento.
The program ended with a vote of thanks, which was presented by Advocate Anshul Ringsiya.
On this occasion, former SCCI President Muralidhar Kedia, Puneet Kauntia (Vice President), CA Anil Aggarwal (Treasurer), CA Piyush Goyal (Executive Member), Jamshedpur Chartered Accountant Society and Commercial Tax Bar Association members and many senior members of the Chamber were present.
The seminar was a huge success and proved extremely useful for the participants.
