Jamshedpur, June 11: The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), marking its Platinum Jubilee year, is set to organize a two-day Monsoon Trade Fair 2025 on June 21 and 22 on its premises in Bistupur.

Celebrating 75 years of service to the business and industrial community, the trade body aims to empower local entrepreneurs, especially women and cottage industry workers, by providing them with a vibrant and accessible marketplace.

Aligned with ‘Vocal for Local’ Vision
Speaking about the event, SCCI Vice President Anil Modi said that the fair is being organized in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative. “The goal is to encourage self-reliance among women and promote local products. The fair will offer a platform for artisans and home-based entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products directly to the public,” he said.

The event will feature a diverse range of products including handmade garments, pickles, papads, artificial jewellery, and other locally crafted goods.
Many of these products will be made by women working from their homes, representing the growing wave of micro-entrepreneurship in the region.

Bridging Market Gaps for Small Businesses
SCCI president Vijay Anand Moonka emphasized the Chamber’s continuous efforts to promote trade and industry.
“As market dynamics evolve, more women are stepping into small-scale business ventures. However, they often struggle to find a suitable platform to market their products. The Monsoon Trade Fair is our effort to bridge this gap and provide them with an opportunity to reach customers directly during the festive season,” he said.

General secretary Manav Kedia announced that stall reservations are now open, and interested participants can register at the Chamber office.
