PM Modi to hold roadshow

Former Union Minister and BJP leader Arjun Munda had reviewed the preparations at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur yesterday.

During the review, Munda said that apart from Vande Bharat’s flagging-off ceremony, several other rural development schemes across the country will also be launched by the Prime Minister.

Tatanagar station’s legacy and infrastructure

Tatanagar which comes under Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway falls under Howrah- Mumbai main trunk route.

Although, several Union Ministers had visited the station in the past but a Prime Minister would come to the station for the first time.

The old name of Tatanagar station was Kalimati. Kalimati station on the Howrah-Nagpur railway line was established in 1891.

In 1907, fulfilling the dream of Tata Group founder JN Tata, his elder son Sir Dorabji Tata laid the foundation of the first Tata Iron and Steel Company (now Tata Steel).
