Dhanbad, May 16: A security guard working for a private agency was found murdered near the Kenduadih police station, approximately 8 km from Dhanbad district headquarters, early Friday morning.

The victim, identified as 45-year-old Mithilesh Rawani, was on night duty with Sri Ram Private Company, which is engaged in laying drinking water pipelines for the Municipal Corporation in the area.

According to Kenduadih police station inspector Pramod Pandey, Rawani’s blood-soaked body was discovered by a passerby who alerted the authorities. Initial investigations suggest that unidentified assailants may have bludgeoned him to death with a stone on Thursday night.
Rawani was a resident of Nawada district in Bihar and had been deployed at the site to guard the construction materials. Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the murder.
