Jamshedpur, June 24: Tata Steel Sports Department hosted a water polo tournament for senior citizens at the JRD Tata Sports Complex today.
The event open for age 55 and beyond witnessed a total of nine teams, comprising 80 enthusiastic participants.
The tournament showcased the athletic prowess and competitive spirit of the senior athletes.
The JRD (A) team emerged victorious, clinching the championship title. The Tata Workers’ Union team claimed the runner-up position, while the Jharkhand Veteran Sports Committee (B) team secured the second runner-up spot.
The event was graced by the presence of Sanjay Singh, vice-president of Tata Workers’ Union as chief guest.

He commended the participants for their dedication and sportsmanship, highlighting the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle during the ‘golden years’.
