Jamshedpur, Sept 4: Good news for Chhath Puja devotees.
South Eastern Railway (SER) has decided to run a Chhath Puja festival special train to clear the extra rush of passengers.
Gondia-Patna-Gondia Chhath special train
Garden Reach, the Kolkata-based headquarters of South Eastern Railway through a bulletin issued today notified running of 08897/08898 Gondia-Patna-Gondia Chhath Puja Festival Special train
08897 Gondia-Patna Chhath Puja Festival Special will leave Gondia on November 3 and November 4 at 11.20 am and will reach Patna at 11 am, the next day.
In the return direction, 08898 Patna-Gondia Chhath Puja Festival Special will leave Patna on November 4 and November 5 at 12.30 pm and will reach Gondia at 2.30 pm, the next day.
The special train will have stoppages at Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Hatia, Ranchi, Muri and Bokaro Steel City in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.
Chhotanagpur Passengers Association
The Chhotanagpur Passengers Association hailed the decision of South Eastern Railway to run a special train during the Chhath festival which witnessed a huge rush in trains and long-distance buses.
