Ranchi, Sept 4: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today transferred Rs 1000 honorarium to the bank accounts of around seven lakh women under the Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana.
The programme was held at the Training ground located at Khojatoli in Namkum.
These seven lakh beneficiaries were drawn from five districts of South Chotanagpur- Ranchi, Khunti, Lohardaga, Simdega and Gumla.
Rs 33, 54,95,000 in Ranchi, Rs 7,52,93,000 in Khunti, Rs 8,07,81,000 in Lohardaga, Rs 7,67,98,000 in Simdega and Rs 13,65,60,000 in Gumla were transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries. In this way, Rs 70 crore 49 lakh 27 thousand were transferred to the accounts of 7 lakh 4 thousand 927 women in South Chotanagpur division.
Hemant Soren addressed the programme with Johar to Mainiya. He said that this is the fifth programme organised at the divisional level.
On completion of 50 years, women will automatically get old-age pension
In a post on X, CM Hemant Soren said that the Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainiya Samman Yojana has completed 30 days. Under the Mainiya Samman Yojana, so far, the first instalment of the honorarium amount has reached the accounts of more than 45 lakh 32 thousand 218 sisters. The CM wrote that the errors in the application of the sisters are also being removed. He said that in just three weeks we had completed the target of 48 lakh 15 thousand 48 applications. Women of 21 years of age can apply to avail the benefits of this scheme. Once you join this scheme, you will continue to receive the honorarium without stopping for 50 years. The CM said that on completion of 50 years, the sisters will automatically join the revolutionary Sarvajan Pension Scheme of our government. This pension scheme will remain with you for life.
Minister Rameshwar Oraon, Satya Nand Bhokta, MP Sukhdev Bhagat, Mahua Maji, MLA Jigga Horo, Vikas Singh Munda, Kalpana Soren, Rajesh Kachhap, Neha Shilpi Tirki, Bhushan Bada, Congress President Keshav Mahto Kamlesh were present in the programme.
