Dhanbad, June 30: To enhance passenger convenience and ensure uninterrupted travel during peak demand, the Dhanbad Rail Division has extended the operation of four pairs of special trains for an additional period.
The extension, effective from July 1, was announced by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr DCM) Md Iqbal of Dhanbad Railway Division.
The services extended include Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Special, Dhanbad–Jammu Tawi Special, Dhanbad–Chandigarh Special (Garib Rath), and Dhanbad–Bhubaneswar Special trains. These trains connect Dhanbad with important destinations across India and are in high demand due to limited direct connectivity.

Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special Extended Till July 31
Train numbers 03379 (up) and 03340 (down) Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Special, the only direct rail link between Dhanbad and Mumbai, will now operate until July 31.
The up train (03379) will depart Dhanbad every Tuesday from July 1 to July 29. The down train (03340) from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus will run every Thursday between July 3 and July 31.
Originally introduced on November 27, this service has seen monthly extensions since its launch due to consistent passenger demand.
Dhanbad–Jammu Tawi Special to Run Twice Weekly
The Dhanbad–Jammu Tawi Special (03309/03310) has also been extended for the month of July. Train 03309 from Dhanbad will operate every Tuesday and Saturday from July 1 to July 29. Its return service, train 03310, will depart from Jammu Tawi every Wednesday and Sunday between July 2 and July 30.
Dhanbad–Chandigarh Garib Rath Special Extended
Train numbers 03311/03312, the Dhanbad–Chandigarh Garib Rath Special, will continue operations until July 29. The up train (03311) will run from Dhanbad every Tuesday and Friday, while the down train (03312) will leave Chandigarh every Thursday and Sunday from July 3 to July 31.

Dhanbad–Bhubaneswar Special Extended for Two Months
The fourth service, Dhanbad–Bhubaneswar Special (02381/02382), has been extended for a longer period of two months, from July 1 to August 30. This extension aims to accommodate the seasonal rush during monsoon and upcoming regional festivals.
The Dhanbad Rail Division continues to adjust services based on travel demand and passenger convenience, ensuring smoother long-distance connectivity from the region.
