Jamshedpur, Sept 23: Members of the All India Sikh Students Federation honoured Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy at the Federation’s Sakchi office today, acknowledging his significant contributions to the development of the region. The event was marked by the presentation of a shawl and bouquet to the MLA in appreciation of his work.
Satnam Singh Gambhir, a prominent Federation leader, lauded the development projects undertaken by Saryu Roy, emphasizing the visible progress in Jamshedpur East since he took office. “Ever since Saryu Roy became MLA, development is visible everywhere, and no amount of praise would be enough for his dedication,” Gambhir remarked.

In addition to his focus on development, MLA Roy was also recognized for his efforts in advocating for justice for the victims of the 1984 Sikh massacre. Gambhir specifically noted Roy’s actions on the issue in the Jharkhand Assembly, a move that has earned him the deep appreciation of the Sikh community.
During the event, Harvinder Singh Mantu brought some local issues regarding the Sakchi market to the MLA’s attention. In response, Roy assured the gathering that he would address these concerns promptly, further strengthening his commitment to the welfare of the community.
Several prominent members of the Sikh Students Federation, including Mandeep Singh Shanky, Harvinder Singh Mantu, Taranpreet Singh Bunny, Harjeet Singh, and Kulwinder Singh Pannu, were present at the event, expressing their support for the MLA’s ongoing efforts in the region.
