Jamshedpur, June 7: In the wake of a controversial incident at Chandigarh airport, Satnam Singh Gambhir, East India President of the All India Sikh Students Federation, has called on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to clarify its position regarding recent statements made by Kangana Ranaut, the newly elected MP from Mandi.
CISF jawan slapped Kangana Ranaut
The incident involved CISF jawan Kulwinder Kaur slapping Kangana Ranaut. Kaur, whose mother participated in the Kisan Andolan (Farmers’ Protest), reportedly acted in response to Ranaut’s earlier derogatory remarks about the protesting farmers, particularly the women, whom she referred to as daily wage labourers.

Ranaut disrespected protesting mothers during Kisan Andolan: Gambhir
Reacting to this incident, Gambhir highlighted Ranaut’s history of provocative statements against Punjab and the Sikh community. “This is the same Kangana Ranaut who disrespected the protesting mothers during the Kisan Andolan by calling them daily wage labourers. It is extremely shameful that after being slapped, she has once again targeted Punjab and the Sikh community with her inflammatory comments,” he stated.
Gambhir seeks BJP’s clear stance
Gambhir emphasized the need for the BJP to take a clear stance on Ranaut’s comments. “The BJP should clarify its stand on Kangana Ranaut’s statement,” he asserted, suggesting that the party’s silence could be interpreted as implicit support for her controversial views.
The incident and subsequent reactions have sparked widespread debate, with many calling for political leaders to condemn inflammatory rhetoric and promote unity and respect among different communities. As tensions continue to rise, the BJP’s response to this call for clarification will be closely watched by both supporters and critics.
