Jamshedpur, March 22: As the festival of Holi approaches, spreading its vibrant hues of joy and camaraderie, special children (Divyangs) of Cheshire Home, Sundernagar, came together to celebrate the occasion in a heartwarming and colourful manner.

The premises of Sundernagar Cheshire Home echoed with laughter and merriment as the children engaged in spirited festivities, dancing to the tunes of Holi songs and immersing themselves in the joyous atmosphere.

Under the loving guidance of Pappu Sardar, a devoted fan of cine star Madhuri Dixit and a passionate advocate for spreading happiness, the special children rejoiced in the festivities dressed in colourful attire.

With Radha-Krishna, Sudama, and Gopis adorning the scene, the children played Holi with flowers and Abir Gulal, enveloping the air with a kaleidoscope of colours and fragrances.

Pappu Sardar, clad in his familiar clown attire, not only shared the joy of the occasion with the children but also imparted valuable messages about abstaining from drugs and avoiding unruly behaviour on the day of Holi.

He emphasized the significance of spreading happiness and harmony, drawing inspiration from the divine love of Radha-Krishna.

The celebration commenced with the showering of flowers on artists portraying Radha-Krishna, followed by the application of Abir Gulal on the picture of Madhuri Dixit, symbolizing the amalgamation of tradition and contemporary culture.

Head Sister Daisy, Sister Rosalie, Smita, and Sarita of Cheshire Home extended their warm wishes for Holi, emphasizing the importance of spreading colours with brotherhood and mutual respect. They expressed gratitude towards Pappu Sardar for organizing the event, which brings immense joy to the special children year after year.

The artists portraying Radha-Krishna also conveyed their heartfelt wishes for Holi, expressing their delight in spreading happiness among the special children of Cheshire Home.

Pappu Sardar further extended his generosity by providing a delightful breakfast and lunch to the children, ensuring that the festivities were accompanied by delicious treats.

The event, spanning three hours, witnessed the participation of all the sisters and staff of Cheshire Home, who revelled in the joyous celebrations alongside the special children. It was indeed a memorable occasion filled with laughter, love, and cherished moments of togetherness.
