Jamshedpur, Sept 11: A horrific road accident in Burmamines claimed the life of one Sharanjit Singh, a resident of Namda Basti, in the early hours of Thursday.
The accident took place between 3:30 am and 4:00 am near Mukhi Basti when a speeding truck (JH 05 AK 5732) hit Singh’s Splendor motorcycle and dragged him nearly 200 meters.

Meanwhile, the unrest has turned dead

Singh, who was on his way to Tatanagar railway station to receive a family member, died on the spot.
The truck driver fled the spot after the incident. Following the tragedy, angry residents blocked the road near the Burmamines Tube Company gate, demanding strict action.
Police later cleared the blockade and sent the body for a post-mortem at MGM Medical College in Dimna.
