Jamshedpur, Sept 15: A grand programme was organised on the occasion of Hindi Diwas at St. John’s High School, Jamshedpur, with the objective of instilling respect, love and awareness towards the Hindi language among students.

The event, held in the school auditorium, began with a recitation of a famous poem by Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan, presented by a Class 10 student.

This was followed by a drama staged by students of Classes 8 and 9, highlighting the history, cultural significance and contemporary relevance of Hindi.

The performance conveyed a strong message of pride and intimacy towards the language, winning appreciation from both students and teachers.

Adding a cultural flavour, Class 7 students presented a group dance that celebrated the sweetness and literary richness of Hindi.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Ashu Tiwari emphasised the importance of Hindi, saying, “Hindi is not just a medium of communication, but the power that connects our identity, culture and thoughts.”

She urged students to respect the language, read Hindi literature and take pride in their mother tongue.
