Jamshedpur, August 24: Suresh Sonthalia was elected as the new national joint general secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) while Kishore Golechha was elected as the national executive member.

The new appointments were made during the two-day meeting of the national executive of the Confederation of All India Traders held in Nagpur on August 21 and 22.
Representatives of all the states participated in the meeting in which the problems of about eight crore businessmen across the country were discussed and brainstormed.

Former Union minister Smriti Irani also addressed the meeting and talked about empowering women businessmen.

Elections were also conducted in the two-day meeting. In the election, BC Bhartia was elected president and MP Praveen Khandelwal was elected as general secretary.
Former president of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Suresh Sonthalia, was elected as the national joint general secretary for his organizational ability, while Kolhan’s organization in-charge Kishore Golchha was taken into the national working committee.
Expressing gratitude to the central leadership and executive of CAIT, both the leaders said that while fulfilling such a huge responsibility, they will work to solve the problems of all small and big traders of the country.
On their return from Nagpur, various business body representatives of Jamshedpur accorded both of them a warm welcome.
