Jamshedpur, May 11: Tata Steel summer camp-2024 was inaugurated by Chanakya Chaudhary, vice-president, Corporate Services, Tata Steel today.
The summer camp, scheduled from May 11 to 31, would witness participation of students, youths and their parents for 22 sporting disciplines.
The participants are high in Josh with their parents and excited to take part in the camp and learn new skills. It will also give them a chance to get socially active, enjoy their summer holidays in meaningful manner and have fun together.
Fostering fitness and fun through sports and wellness
The camp is designed to create awareness about fitness, wellness, and a healthy lifestyle among the city’s youth and encourage participation in sports activities. More than 150 expert coaches and volunteers from Tata Steel sports department are working hard to make the summer camp successful and enjoyable for participants.

Children aged 6 to 19 would participate in a wide range of sports disciplines, including Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Golf, Handball, Horse Riding, Karate, Kabaddi, Roller Skate/Roll Ball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Football, Zumba, Yoga, Hockey (at Naval Tata Hockey Academy), and Volleyball.
Parents can also register for Yoga and Zumba classes, while additional activities and sessions for parents, guardians, and children are scheduled throughout the camp. There will also be recreational activities at Nicco Park and Tata Steel Zoological Park.

Tata Steel has a long history of promoting and encouraging sports, with several academies of excellence, including Tata Football Academy, Tata Archery Academy, Naval Tata Hockey Academy, Tata Sport Climbing Academy, and Tata Steel Athletics and Boxing Excellence Centres.
