Jamshedpur, Feb 15: Three criminals were arrested with firearms in two separate incidents under Jugsalai and Kadma thana areas respectively during the past 24 hours.
Whereas two of those arrested identified as Ganesh Mahto and Karan Tantubai were arrested with a loaded pistol from near Ramjanam Nagar in Kadma this morning, a youth identified as Pintu Singh was nabbed with a loaded pistol while he was sitting inside a school premises in Jugsalai on Monday evening.

Revealing about the breakthrough, Superintendent of Police (City) Kumar Shibashish said that Puntu who is a resident of Chhapraiya Mohalla in Jugsalai was nabbed while he was sitting on the premises of RP Patel High School.

“The police raided the place having got intelligence input about the criminal. Perhaps he was sitting on the school premises all alone with the pistol for committing a grievous crime,” said Kumar Shibashish while briefing the newsmen at the police office on Tuesday afternoon.
On being interrogated, Pintu divulged before the police that a notorious criminal who is no more had given him the pistol for safekeeping four years ago. The arrested person, however, did not say anything as to why was he sitting on the school premises with the pistol.
Like in Jugsalai, in Kadma also the police had acted on getting a tip-off about the two criminals sitting along the Kharkai river with a loaded pistol.
According to the City SP, all three arrested persons were forwarded to the jail after their production before a judicial magistrate.
