The fraudsters would demand money from their victims and, if questioned, would resort to threats of defamation or legal action to prevent exposure.

Arrests and Seizures

The arrested individuals have been identified as Sikandar Yadav, Chandan Yadav, and Vivek Sahu, all residents of Hazaribag district.

The police seized nine mobile phones, 14 SIM cards, 13 ATM cards, and ₹50,000 in cash from their possession.

DSP Sanjiv Kumar stated that, following orders from Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) HP Janardhanan, a cyber police team raided the house of Ranjit Mahto, where the suspects were caught red-handed and taken into custody.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover further links in the cyber fraud network.
