Ranchi, July 26: In a major anti-insurgency operation, security forces killed three members of the Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), a CPI(Maoist) splinter outfit, during an exchange of fire in Jharkhand’s Gumla district on Saturday morning.

According to police, the gun battle broke out in Ghaghra forest after a joint team of Jharkhand Jaguar and Gumla Police launched an operation based on intelligence inputs that the Naxals were plotting an assault on security personnel.
