Jharkhand News: Top 12 teams to compete in grand finale of Naviskar at XLRI Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 26: Navachar Research Incubation and Innovation Council and XLRI are all set to host the grand finale of Navishkar 2024, India’s largest young innovator initiative on 29 and 30 July at XLRI, Jamshedpur.

865 submissions from across the country

Addressing a press meet, Amar Nath Singh Chouhan said that Navishkar 2024 has set a remarkable benchmark by fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth. The event has received a whopping 865 submissions from across the country, showcasing groundbreaking ideas in technology, healthcare, sustainability, and education.

Notably, 25% of submissions came from young innovators under 20, and 38% from women founders. Additionally, 70% of entries are from the vibrant age group of 23 to 26, with submissions spanning 19 states and 75 cities. Participants hail from 160 colleges and 31 schools, with 39% of submissions from Eastern India.

Recognized as India’s largest young innovators initiative, the event has engaged over 50 industry experts and mentors, promoting inclusiveness with significant representation from underrepresented regions and communities.

Top 12 teams in grand finale to be held on 29 and 30 July

The grand finale will feature the top 12 teams, shortlisted from the initial 865 submissions after a rigorous bootcamp held from 1st to 6th July. These teams have undergone extensive training and mentorship from 15 industry experts. The event aims to provide a platform for these young innovators to showcase their projects and compete for top honors.

The grand finale is set for the 29th and 30th of July 2024 at XLRI, Jamshedpur, with the inauguration ceremony scheduled for 29th July from 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM, and the valedictory ceremony on 30th July from 5:45 PM to 6:30 PM.

Over the course of two days, Navishkar 2024 will feature a variety of engaging events. Workshops will offer interactive sessions led by industry experts to hone the skills of young innovators.

Panel discussions will involve thought leaders conversing on innovation and entrepreneurship. The Investors Meet will provide start-ups with opportunities to connect with potential investors and secure funding.

The Start-up Showcase will allow the top 12 teams to exhibit their innovative solutions, and the Shark Tank Pitch will feature live pitching sessions where start-ups present their ideas to a panel of investors.
