Ranchi, July 11: BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today raised an alarm on the explosion of the Muslim population in Santhal Pargana.

Addressing a press conference today in Pakur bordering Bangladesh, Marandi said that infiltrators are getting protection under the appeasement policy of the ‘Thugbandhan’ government. “Tribal population is in danger. It seems that their existence will end soon,” he added.

Census report from 1951 to 2011

He displayed the census report from 1951 to 2011 and said that this is the census report of the Government of India which was before Narendra Modi came to power in the country.

He said that today is Population Day and the data shows how the tribal population in Santhal Pargana is continuously decreasing and the Muslim population is increasing unexpectedly.

Census data

He said that in 1951, the tribal population in Santhal Pargana was 44.67%, the Muslim population was 9.44% and the general population was 45.91%. “If we look at the 2011 census report, the Muslim population increased by two and a half times to 22.73% while the tribal population decreased from 44.67% to 28.11%. Whereas the general population increased only from 45.9% to 49.2%,” he pointed out.

He said that it is clear that the tribal population in Santhal Pargana is being systematically reduced in the name of love jihad and land jihad.

He said that the situation in Sahebganj and Pakur is horrific. “50,000 voters increased in one assembly constituency. There was an increase of about 123%. After all, how did this unexpected increase happen?” he asked.

Vote bank politics

He said that the BJP does not do vote bank politics. “The BJP does politics for the country. We work with the resolution of the nation first,” he asserted.

He said that since the time Jana Sangh was formed, we have been opposing Article 370, even though our political strength was less. “But we never compromised on the issues of the country,” he added.

He said that infiltrators are also against the country. “Many countries have expelled infiltrators. Pakistan has also expelled Afghans, even if they are Muslims,” he pointed out.

Jharkhand HC also serious on infiltration

He said that the Jharkhand High Court has also considered the problem of infiltration in the state as serious. “All the Deputy Commissioners of the districts have been instructed to take action in this direction,” he added.

He said that the state government should stop appeasement and take strict action against infiltrators.
