Dhanbad, April 11: In a major boost for passengers, the Dhanbad Rail Division — the highest revenue earner in the country — is set to get two direct train services connecting Dhanbad to Chandigarh.

According to the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr DCM) of the Dhanbad Rail Division, the Railway Board has approved the introduction of two direct trains between Dhanbad and Chandigarh, starting from tomorrow.
The first Special AC trains (03313/03314) will commence operations from April 12 (Saturday), while the second set, the Garib Rath trains (03311/03312), will start from April 15.

Special AC Express to Start from April 12
The first service, the Special AC Express (Train No. 03313/03314), will commence operations on April 12 (Saturday).
Train No. 03313 Dhanbad–Chandigarh Special AC Express will operate every Saturday from April 12 to June 28, while the return service, Train No. 03314 Chandigarh–Dhanbad Special AC Express, will run every Monday from April 14 to June 30.
All coaches of the Special AC Express will be fully air-conditioned.
Garib Rath Service from April 15
The second service, the Dhanbad–Chandigarh Garib Rath (Train No. 03311/03312), will begin on April 15.
Train No. 03311 Dhanbad–Chandigarh Garib Rath will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, from April 15 to June 27. In return, Train No. 03312 Chandigarh–Dhanbad Garib Rath will run on Thursdays and Sundays from April 17 to June 29.
Railway officials said these trains will strengthen connectivity between major cities across five states: Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab.
