Jamshedpur, Feb 18: Two notorious criminals were arrested today for allegedly snatching wallet and mobile phones from Bistupur and Burmamines thana area recently.
Identified as Arsenal Ansari and Mohammed Naved, the two criminals were arrested from Marine Drive under the Sonari thana area this morning while they were trying to commit some grievous crime.
Having arrested the duo who are residents of Road No 13 in Mango’s Azadnagar area, the police recovered the wallet and the mobile phones from their possession.

Revealing about the breakthrough, Superintendent of Police (City) Kumar Shibashish said that the two bike-borne criminals in question had snatched the wallet from a pedestrian near Keenan Stadium in Bistupur hours before snatching two mobile phones from the Burmamines thana area recently.
“Arsenal Ansari is a dreaded criminal as he had also been arrested for committing snatchings in the city in the years 2021 and 2024 and was lodged in jail. After coming out of the jail, he had resumed the same crime,” said Shibashish while briefing the newsmen on Tuesday.
According to the police officer, Arsenal and his associate used to roam about the strategic areas across the city and used to target pedestrians for committing the snatching.
