Dhanbad, July 5: Two young men lost their lives in a tragic car accident that occurred early Saturday morning near Domanpur on the inter-state National Highway 2 (NH-2), under the jurisdiction of Rajganj police station, approximately 16 km from the Dhanbad district headquarters.

According to Rajganj police station in-charge Alisha Agrawal, the accident took place between 5:30 and 5:45 AM. The victims were reportedly driving towards Dhanbad at high speed when they lost control of the vehicle. The car overturned multiple times before coming to rest in the service lane of NH-2.

Upon receiving the information, Rajganj police rushed to the spot and immediately sent the injured youths to Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) via ambulance. However, doctors at the hospital declared them brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Shahil Krishnani (20), son of a local diamond showroom owner, and his friend Anmol Ratan (21), son of Gardyal Singh. Both were residents of Joraphatak Road near Shakti Mandir, under Dhansar police station limits.

Shocked family members of the victims arrived at SNMMCH but declined to speak about where the youths had been earlier. However, sources indicated that they were reportedly returning to Dhanbad from Amas Hotel in Rajganj at the time of the accident.
