It is to be verified if the error in total marks originated at the level of the question paper setter or at the level of the printer.

If it is found that this error was committed at the level of the question paper setter, then a word of caution will be given to the question paper setter to be careful in future.

Similarly, if the error in total marks is at the level of the printer, then the printer will be directed to explain this folly.

The university has all the rights of hiking the numbers of the questions in the event of such error creeping up in the total marks.

However, the in-charge Controller of University Examinations Dr Ravi Shankar asked the concerned centre superintendents of the 19 exam centres of this multi-disciplinary course exam to abolish the tag of 2 questions out of 4 questions and making it a flat 4 questions to be answered where was the option to write two questions out of the four.

This flattening of the tag taxed the examinees as where they were to write 2 questions out of 4, they were made to write all four.

No Penalty for Students, University Assures Liberal Evaluation

Sources said the university will be asking for a liberal marking or evaluation of the answer books for this multi-disciplinary course exam, giving no loss to the examinees who have attempted two out of four or have attempted four out of the four. Thus, no examinee will bear the burden of any loss of marks even if the examinee has written 2 out of 4.

The Controller of University Examinations, Dr Ravi Shankar appears to be quite considerate of this no loss of marks to the examinees of this multi-disciplinary course exam paper held on April 30 at 19 exam centres.
