Jharkhand News: Voters’ awareness rally in coal city

Dhanbad, March 27: In the wake of the 2024 Lok Sabha election, an impressive voter awareness rally was held in the heart of the Coal City on Wednesday under Sveep Cell.

Town commissioner cum senior  Sweep Cell officer Raviraj Sharma flagged off the awareness rally and participated in it along with Assistant Town Commissioner Santoshni Murmu and encouraged the denizens of coal city to enhance the vote percentage.

The rally, which started at Dhanbad Bartend Bus Stand after crossing the City Centre and Municipal Corporation office, terminated at Randhir Verma roundabout near the court. Municipal Corporation employees in large numbers participated in the rally and vowed to encourage others to participate in voting.

Town Commissioner flags off voters’ awareness rally

On the occasion, while addressing the rally, Town Commissioner Raviraj Sharma said that the rally was taken out under the Sveep campaign to increase people’s awareness about voting in the Lok Sabha election. “Our mission is to achieve 100% voting in Dhanbad, and it could be achieved through awareness of voters,” he said.

The Town Commissioner, on the occasion, appealed to the people to get their names enrolled if they had not been listed so far. The name would be enlisted in the voters list by April 17.   The election of Dhanbad Lok Sabha’s seat is on May 25.
