Daltonganj, March 22: Kanchan Kumar Raj, 20, died when his bike dashed a running goods train near pole number 286/6 barely a few hundred meters away from Daltonganj railway station under the Dhanbad division of the East-Central Railway.
Station superintendent of the Daltonganj railway station Umesh Kumar said, “The young biker Kanchan Kumar Raj died. His bike was reduced to wreckages and as per report the bike had dashed the running goods train coming from Mughalsarai.”
Raj was rushed to the MMCH Daltonganj but in vain. He died midway.
Umesh Kumar was very disappointed when he said, “Our calls for 108 ambulance didn’t give us any help. There came no ambulance. We had to hire an auto rickshaw for the injured Raj to be sent to the MMCH Daltonganj.”

Doubts Over the Nature of the Accident
However, sources in the RPF cast doubt about the incident of bike dashing the running goods train.
The bike was found in rubbles between the two tracks which raises eyebrows as if a bike even at the slow or fast speed dash a running goods train is never to be found in between the tracks but flung afar from the tracks.
Further, the body of Raj was found 15 meters away from the site of the accident when it was a deadly close shave with death.
Again there is no account if Raj had any pillion rider who jumped for life leaving Raj and the bike to the grim fate.
Sources said the mishap time was around 2.45 am tonight and what this luckless youth was up to crossing the railway tracks with the bike.
Sources in the RPF said an investigation has begun. The GRP is also on this case.
