Jamshedpur, March 21: A 24-year-old youth was found lying in a pool of blood inside the classroom of a government-run school under Ulidih thana outpost (TOP) in Mango on Friday morning.

Police Confirms Murder
The body bore a cut mark in the neck, suggesting this to be a case of murder.
A police party which reached the spot inspected the body and confirmed it to be a case of murder.

The body was later identified as Saurabh Sharma alias Pavan, a resident of Ulidih itself.

Pavan’s body was found inside the classroom on the first floor of Kendriya Madhya Vidyalay located at the densely-populated Khankah in Ulidih.
There was a repairing and modification work of the school building in progress. As the workers opened the classroom in the morning, they found the body lying in a pool of blood.

Discovery of the body inside a classroom had triggered a sensation in the locality, attracting inquisitive local residents. The sensational incident had subsequently reached the Ulidih TOP within minutes, leading a police party to rush to the spot.
Victim Identified by Sister
The body was identified by the murder victim’s sister, Nisha Boipai.
Nisha who is also a resident of Ulidih said Pavan had not returned home last night, causing the anxious family members to search for him the whole night. She said she saw a crowd gathered outside the government school in the morning and having reached the scene, she eventually saw her brother’s body lying in one of the classrooms of the school.
Police Investigation and Speculation
Ulidih TOP in-charge, Kumar Abhishek who had visited the spot said someone had murdered the youth by slitting his throat.
“This is a case of murder, but we are yet to know anything about the assailants and the reason behind it. We are trying to detect the case as soon as possible,” said Kumar Abhishek while talking to The Jharkhand Story.
Significantly, some locals while talking to the newsmen pointed out that Pavan was a drug addict, adding that the murder might have been committed in a sequel to any dispute cropped up involving the drug addiction.
