Jharkhand News: Youth murders minor’s husband in love triangle case in Palamu

Daltonganj, August 6: Nawa Bazar police, led by the officer in charge Sanjay Kumar Yadav and his team cracked a case of murder driven by love for a minor girl and excessive jealousy of the man who had married the minor girl!

The accused, 18-year-old Sameer Shah, allegedly killed Sarfraz Khan, who had married the minor girl Shah was infatuated with. According to the investigation, Shah lured Khan by offering free beer and later attacked him, brutally stoning him to death.

The crime occurred on July 29 in the Piparhawa forest area along Sinjo Road.

Swift Police Action After FIR

Ehsan Khan a resident of Latehar district and brother of the deceased Sarfaraz, lodged the FIR with the Nawa Bazar police station on July 31.

Under the order of the SP Reeshma Ramesan, the police team swung into action and unfolded the case most professionally.

Sameer was arrested, and the stone that was used to kill Sarfaraz was recovered too along with cell phones of the deceased and of the minor girl.

Motive: Love, Passion, and Revenge

Sameer narrated the story of the murder. The story had love, passion and jealousy.

Sameer loved the minor girl, and the minor girl too loved him.

Sarfaraz was seen as a bad and unwarranted entrant into the life of Sameer and the girl. So, Sarfaraz was eliminated by Sameer. Police have remanded him to judicial custody on Wednesday.

Juvenile Justice Act Invoked for Minor Girl

The minor girl, wife of the deceased Sarfaraz, has been dealt with under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.

The Nawa Bazar police cracked this case in a very transparent manner. It was a pre-planned and premeditated murder committed with barbaric brutalities.

Police officer Yadav said Sameer had played a good host to Sarfaraz on the day of his marriage with the minor girl and had developed a friendship with Sarfaraz also only to win his trust, as when Sameer offered beer to Sarfaraz, he just obliged him, not knowing at all the sinister design of Sameer.
