Ranchi, Feb 6: The state government has constituted an SIT (Special Investigation Team) in the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Exam (JSSC CGL) 2023 question paper leak case.
Sanjeev Kumar Besra, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sadar, Ranchi will lead the Special Task Force for this work. The SIT includes four police inspectors and other policemen.
The Senior Superintendent of Police issued the order related to this.
Notably, JSSC CGL 2023 was scheduled on 28 January 2024. However, the question paper was leaked even before the examination was conducted.

After this incident, a special task force was formed under the leadership of the then Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sadar. But case investigator-cum-Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sadar, Ranchi has been transferred from this district to somewhere else as per routine process. Therefore, Sanjeev Kumar Besra, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sadar, Ranchi has been named as the investigator for further investigation of this case.
SIT has been ordered to quickly identify and arrest the accused involved in the question paper leaking case.
Case registered in Namkum police station
In this context, Namkum police station case number 45/24, dated 29 January 2024, IPC section – 467/ 468/420/120B, 66 I.T. Act and 12 Jharkhand Competitive Examination (Prevention and Redressal of Unfair means in Recruitment) Act 2023 has been registered against unknown accused.
