Jamshedpur, Jan 31:  In memory of Sona Devi, under the CSR initiatives of Sona Devi Memorial Educational Foundation Trust and Sona Devi University, a three-day eye camp was organised at Ram Manohar Lohia Eye Hospital in Bagbera here.

The Red Cross Society, Ram Manohar Lohia Netralaya, Chimanlal Bhalotia Seva Sansthan, Rajasthan Seva Sadan and District Rural Health Committee, East Singhbhum provided necessary assistance for the successful conduct of the eye camp.

The three-day 708th eye camp, organized at Ram Manohar Lohia Eye Hospital concluded on Tuesday with the farewell of the eye patients.

Noted eye doctor Dr B. P Singh and his fellow medical team conducted the final examination by opening the blindfolds of the eye patients.

Prabhakar Singh, chairman of Sona Devi Memorial Educational Foundation Trust and Chancellor of Sona Devi University along with  Vice Chancellor of Sona Devi University, Prof. J. P. Mishra, Honorary Secretary of Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum Bijay Kumar Singh, social worker Chandramohan Singh, social worker Rakesh Mishra helped patients wore spectacles and provided medicines, after which eye patients were given information regarding eye care by experts.

Prabhakar Singh thanked all for the successful conduct of the three-day camp and said that the Sona Devi Memorial Educational Foundation Trust will continue with its social activities for the well-being of the society.
