Jharkhand Sports: Dhanbad to host Khelo India Women’s Judo City League

Dhanbad, March 29: The Khelo India Women’s Judo City League, organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) under the Ministry of Sports, will be held on Saturday at DAV Public School, Koylanagar in Dhanbad.

The one-day championship will feature school students from Dhanbad, Bokaro, and Palamu, competing for top honors in this prestigious event.

According to Pappu Singh, this national league championship is being conducted simultaneously in 25 cities across India, with Dhanbad being selected as one of the host venues.

The inaugural ceremony will be an all-women affair, graced by Dr. Sharmila Rani, Principal of SSLNT Women’s College, as the chief guest. Other distinguished guests include Inspector Nutan Modi, Karuna Srivastava, Dhanbad Public School (Hirak Road Branch) Principal Purnima Shil, and Jiven Jyoti School for Special Children Principal Aparna Das.

Participants from various schools and training centers will take part, including Rajkamal Saraswati Vidya Mandir, DAV Public School Koylanagar, Dhanbad Public School, Saraswati Vidya Mandir Sinidih Katras, Dhanbad Martial Arts Centre, Saraswati Vidya Mandir Bhuli, Adani Fitness Centre Sindri, and DAV Barora, among others.
