Ranchi, April 15: The 12th Ranchi District Inter-School Badminton Championship will be held from May 1 to May 3 at the Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon.
Providing details about the event, Ranchi District Badminton Association General Secretary N.K. Dey said that the last date for submitting entries is April 27.

The championship will feature both singles and doubles matches for boys and girls in three age categories: Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19. All matches will begin at 9 a.m. each day.
“In the doubles event, each school can send a maximum of two teams for both boys and girls. However, there is no restriction on the number of entries a school can submit for the singles category,” said Dey.
With junior players from Ranchi performing strongly at both state and national levels, the championship is expected to be a major attraction for badminton enthusiasts.

The event also holds significance for local badminton coaching academies, whose reputations rest on the performance of their young trainees.
