Ranjit Kesri becomes new president of DDKA

Dhanbad, July 25: Veteran martial arts players Ranjit Kesri and Rajesh Singh were unanimously elected president and general secretary of the Dhanbad District Karate Association (DDKA) for four 2024-28 sessions.

The District Karate Association is affiliated with the Sports Karate Association of Jharkhand and the Karate Organization of India. At the meeting, representatives of all martial arts ( Karate) organizations were present.

Newly elected president Ranjit Kesri, who is also secretary of the District Olympic Association, said that at the meeting sports officer of IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dr DN Acharya, Doon Public School deputy director Sunil Kumar, Mountford Academy director Visha Agrawal and social activist Shyam Pandey became patrons of the association and assured promotion of martial arts skills in the district.

Other newly elected office-bearers

Other newly elected office-bearers were senior vice-president Reza Istiyaque, vice-president- Sadhan Chandra Lohar, Md Islam, Dr J Anurag, treasurer – Mamta Kumari Pandey, joint secretary- Manoj Sharma, Raja Vishwakarma, Guljar Raja.

Executive members: Pemela Devi, Rasna Mardi and Kiran Singh.
