Ranchi, June 18: Selection trials for the Ranchi Residential Sports Training Centre (RSTC) in badminton and archery will be held on June 19 and 20 at two different venues in Ranchi — Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon (for badminton), and the Archery Training Centre, Silli (for archery).

According to officials, only boys will be selected for the badminton category, while both boys and girls will be considered for the archery category, to fill vacant training centre seats.

The trials will commence at 7:30 AM at both venues. Interested players must be residents of Jharkhand and are required to report with necessary documents.
For the badminton trial, players should contact Bharat Kumar Shah and Sanju Kumar at the indoor stadium. For the archery trial, players should reach out to Prakash Ram and Shishir Mahto at the Silli training centre.
The RSTC functions under the Department of Tourism, Arts-Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs, Government of Jharkhand.

Selection Committees Announced
The department has constituted separate selection committees for both sports:
Badminton Selection Committee: Ashish Kumar Banerjee (Member Secretary), Bharat Kumar Shah, Sanju Kumar, Saurabh Kumar, Ravi Shankar Kesri, Uma Rani Palit, Aghanu Oraon, Vinay Kshetri.

Archery Selection Committee: Ashish Kumar Banerjee (Member Secretary), Prakash Ram, Shishir Mahto, Sweta Pandey, Rohit Koiri, Sushila Kumari.
The department has urged all interested players to ensure timely reporting and carry the required documents for verification.
