Ranchi, June 18: The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday held a partial hearing on the petition seeking a CBI investigation into the alleged paper leak in the JSSC-CGL (Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination).

During the hearing, the state government requested additional time to present its arguments, which the court accepted. The next hearing has been scheduled for one week later, on June 26.

In the previous hearing, the government had informed the court that charge sheets had been filed against several accused and that the CID investigation was in its final stages.
It was also reported that, so far, no concrete evidence of a paper leak had been found. The court has extended the stay on the declaration of results until the next hearing.
Advocate Piyush Chitrakar appeared on behalf of the state government, Advocate Sanjoy Piparwal represented the JSSC, while senior advocate Ajit Kumar argued on behalf of the petitioners.

All eyes are now on the June 26 hearing, where it will be decided whether the investigation will remain with the CID or be handed over to the CBI.
