Ranchi, Jan 5: The Republic Day celebrations in Delhi this year will feature tableaus from 15 states and union territories, including Jharkhand. The state has made thorough preparations to represent its heritage, culture, and progress at the national event.
This year, Jharkhand’s tableau will pay tribute to the late Ratan Tata while also showcasing the state’s rich culture, traditional dances, and the growing empowerment of women in education.

It is noteworthy that in 2024, Jharkhand’s tableau highlighted the state’s renowned tassar silk. The year before, in 2023, the tableau depicted the iconic Babadham Temple in Deoghar.
Tableaus from Across the Country
The central government had invited proposals for tableaus from all states and union territories. After a multi-stage selection process, only 15 were chosen to participate in the Republic Day parade in Delhi. Jharkhand’s tableau design was highly appreciated during the selection process.
The selected states must complete their tableaus by January 19 in New Delhi, and a full-dress rehearsal will be held on January 23.
